Your privacy at GreatMascot

When you browse GreatMascot, order a costume, discuss a custom design, or contact our team, you share information that helps us provide those services. This policy describes the personal information we handle, why we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.

GreatMascot, at www.greatmascot.com, is operated by Beijing Yunqi Hongmeng Trading Co., Ltd. (北京运起鸿蒙贸易有限公司). In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean that company, which is responsible for the personal information it handles in connection with the store.

1. Information we handle

The information involved depends on the service you use. It may include:

  • Contact and account details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, and details you provide when creating or managing a store account.
  • Purchase and delivery records: the items you select, order amounts, payment status, transaction references, delivery instructions, shipment updates, and cancellation, return, or refund records.
  • Custom costume details: wearer measurements, sizing requirements, design instructions, logos, artwork, photographs, and reference materials you send for a quotation or an order.
  • Customer communications: enquiries, messages, attachments, feedback, and photographs or other evidence submitted about an order problem.
  • Website and device information: technical records that website systems may collect, such as your IP address, browser, device or operating system, visit times, pages viewed, and information associated with cookies or similar technologies.

Information may come from you, your use of the website, or services involved in your transaction, such as payment service providers and delivery providers. Send only what is needed for your request. If you supply another person’s measurements, photographs, or contact details, make sure you have permission or another lawful basis to do so.

2. Why we use your information

We use relevant information to:

  • Answer enquiries, prepare quotations, and clarify costume designs and sizing.
  • Confirm payment, prepare your order, and arrange delivery and any necessary customs handling.
  • Manage store accounts and communicate about order progress or delivery issues.
  • Investigate product concerns and handle cancellations, replacements, refunds, or payment disputes.
  • Maintain the website, understand how it is used, and protect the store and customers against fraud or misuse.
  • Keep records needed for accounting, tax, legal obligations, and the resolution of claims.

Without details needed for a particular service, such as a delivery address or required costume measurements, we may be unable to complete that service. Optional marketing communications are addressed in Section 10.

3. Grounds for using personal information

Where the law requires a legal basis, our use of information may be necessary to take steps you request before a purchase, fulfill your order, meet a legal obligation, or act on your consent.

Where applicable law allows it, we may also rely on legitimate interests in maintaining a functioning store, supporting customers, and preventing fraud, after considering your rights and interests. This basis does not apply where the relevant law does not permit it. If processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

4. Who may receive your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. To provide a service or meet a legal requirement, relevant information may be shared with:

  • Payment service providers: information needed to process PayPal, credit card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay payments, refunds, and transaction disputes, depending on the payment option used at checkout.
  • Production and fulfillment providers: specifications, measurements, and other details needed to make and prepare your costume.
  • Carriers and customs service providers: recipient contact details, delivery addresses, and shipment information needed to transport and clear your order.
  • Website and communication providers: information needed to support hosting, store functions, and customer communications.
  • Professional advisers or public authorities: information needed to comply with legal duties or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Sharing is limited to the information relevant to the purpose and is subject to applicable privacy requirements. Some recipients, including payment providers and carriers, also handle information under their own legal obligations and privacy policies.

5. Payment information and privacy

GreatMascot accepts PayPal, credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Google Pay and Apple Pay availability may vary by device, browser, and region. Please choose from the payment options shown at checkout. Your chosen payment service processes your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. GreatMascot receives payment confirmations and transaction information needed to manage your order, refunds, and disputes; we do not store your full card number or card security code.

Enter payment credentials only through your chosen payment service. Please do not send card numbers, card security codes, bank passwords, payment account passwords, or one-time verification codes to customer support. Review our Payment Methods page for the available payment options and payment instructions.

6. Cookies and browsing choices

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support store operation. These technologies can help with functions such as keeping items in a shopping cart, maintaining an account session, or remembering preferences. Depending on the features enabled, website or external-service technologies may also be used to understand visits and improve the browsing experience.

You can use your browser settings to block, remove, or manage cookies. Some store functions may work differently or become unavailable if necessary cookies are blocked. Browser controls do not necessarily cover every similar technology used by an external service.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential technologies, that consent must be obtained before they are used. Visiting the website or reading this policy does not, by itself, provide that consent.

7. Information handled across borders

Our business is based in China and accepts international orders. Information may therefore be handled in China and in other countries where payment, delivery, website, or communication providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws in your location.

We are responsible for meeting the requirements that apply to our international transfers, including any required safeguards, notices, or consent. Contact us if you would like information about the locations and transfer arrangements relevant to your personal information.

8. How long information is kept

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here or to meet applicable legal requirements. The relevant period depends on the type of information, whether an order or support request remains active, applicable accounting and tax obligations, and whether records are needed for a dispute or legal claim.

Personal information should not be kept beyond the period justified by those purposes and requirements. You may contact us to ask about retention of your records or request deletion, subject to any lawful requirement to retain them.

9. Protecting your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Internet communications and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure.

Keep account passwords private and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. If you suspect unauthorized access to your store account or a privacy issue involving an order, contact us promptly.

10. Your rights and choices

The rights available to you depend on the law that applies and the circumstances of the processing. They may include the right to:

  • Access your personal information and receive an explanation of its use.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of information when the legal conditions for deletion are met.
  • Receive a copy of your information, including in a portable format where that right applies.
  • Restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
  • Withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing.

To make a request, email sale@greatmascot.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Include the email address used with the store and, if relevant, your order number. We may ask for information reasonably needed to confirm your identity and locate the records. Do not include passwords or full payment credentials. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation on your request.

If we send promotional messages, we do so only as permitted by law and with consent where required. You may object to direct marketing or ask us to stop promotional messages at any time by emailing us or using an unsubscribe option where one is provided. Messages needed to manage an order, payment, or support request may continue.

You may raise a privacy concern with us, and, where applicable, complain to the relevant privacy regulator or data protection authority. This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.

11. Children’s information

The store is intended for adults placing purchases. Children should not create accounts, submit personal details, or place orders independently. If you believe that a child has supplied personal information without the appropriate parent or guardian involvement, contact us so we can review the situation and take action as required by applicable law.

12. Links and external services

You may reach external websites or services through our store, including payment and delivery services. Their privacy policies explain their own collection and use of information. Review those policies when using their services; this policy describes GreatMascot’s handling of information.

13. Policy updates

If our services, information practices, or legal obligations change, we may revise this policy. The current version will appear on this page with its update date. Any additional notice or consent required by applicable law must also be provided or obtained.
